About Muqdad Hasan, M.D.

Muqdad Hasan, M.D., is board-certified in endocrinology, diabetes mellitus, and metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and is also board-certified in obesity medicine by the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM).

His philosophy of care is centered around his patients, whom he treats as if they were members of his own family. He believes strongly in educating patients in detail about their medical conditions and treatment options.

Dr. Hasan chose the specialty of endocrinology because it presents unique challenges in understanding the complex biochemistry, cell biology, and genetics that play a major role in patient care.

In his spare time, Dr. Hasan enjoys playing chess, traveling, and reading. He also stays active through running, biking, and playing soccer.

Dr. Hasan received his medical degree from Al-Naharain University College of Medicine in Baghdad, Iraq. He completed his residency at New York Medical College and went on to complete his endocrinology fellowship at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University.
